Located 180 meters above a deep sandstone canyon of the river Elbe, between Děčín and the border checkpoint of Hřensko, is a terrace built at the beginning of the 18th century. This terrace not only served for musical performances, but above all, offered an exceedingly beautiful view along the Elbe’s valley, a view which is just as enchanting today. In the evening, warm air gently rises from the fast flowing Elbe river below, scented with the resin of ancient pine trees which surround the area and whose eternal whisper is the only night sound. Adjacent to this terrace is a Hotel which shares the same name as the vista - Belveder. This hotel is accessible via a narrow road from the village of Labská Stráň and also by a number of tourist footpaths. The surrounding countryside is favorite place for walkers and all around there are excellent places for mountaineering. Hřensko lays 6, 5 km downstream from Belveder, following the Suchá Kaminice-brook. From there you can easily reach the popular beauty-spot of Soutěsky and the world-famous Pravčická brána.

Set in the middle of this magnificent tourist area, the hotel Belveder l is truly an oasis of peace. It is open all year round and the staff will be happy to serve you in Czech or German. The hotel restaurant is open all day and always offers you a very pleasant and comfortable break. After a day of sightseeing or outdoor activity you can enjoy a meal from the typical Czech cuisine and a few glasses of the will-known Budweiser beer.
