Luž mountain (Hora Luž)

The highest peak in the Lužické mountains at 793meters offers an amazing 360-degree view comparable to the view from Sněžka. From the peak you can see the Krkonoše, and Jizerské mountains and also Děčínský Sněžník and the ruined castle Bezděz. The mountain is situated on the Czech-German border. Until the World War II there was a tourist cottage and a restaurant there. In 1946 the cottage burned and even today no one knows what caused the fire!
