Pfaffenstein

One of the most interesting hills of the Saxon Switzerland. In the west root of the hill there is a semi-circle fortification  that used to protect the settlement in the Bronze Age. In the south root of the hill there is Barbarine, the slim rock needle which is considered as Pfaffenstein symbol. After several thunderstrokes it was revised and so locked up for the rock climbers for the future. For the tourism there was the summer restaurant built in the middle of the 19th century and  is still open.
