Skalní hrad - Frýdvald (Pustý zámek)
Description of touristic attraction
Rocky castle - Frýdvald (Empty castle)
This place can be found ba Česká Kamenice in Kytlice and Mlýny direction. There was a castle there but today you can only see the ruins of it. On the hill you can have a wonderful view of the valley. In the woods around there are lots of mushrooms in summer and autumn. A very interesting thing about this place is that it´s the second narrowest place in the world. In a very narrow space between the rocks there are a railway, a stream and a road.
In ancient times, up above the river Kamenice there used to stand a castle named Frýdvald. But nowadays there is little left standing and we call it the Empty castle. Its story is as sad as the story of Kamenický castle. During the battles with Lužičané many atrocities were committed on both sides.
