Standing electric lift

The lift was built in 1904 by the hotel-keeper Rudolf Sendig. It reaches up to 50metres. From 1954 the lift is kept as a technical sight. Mr. Sendig made his goal true – to make it easier to get to the garden city in Ostrau.

In 1997 the lift was registered in Guiness book of records as „the highest candle in the world“.
