Village description

Arnoltice

The village Arnoltice can be found in the unique region of the national park Bohemian Switzerland 12 kilometres  northeast of Děčín.  The village is well situated so you can start many trips to the surrounding from there. Among the most interesting buildings in the village there is the late baroque church of the Ascension of Virgin Mary, built  in 1757 - 1758.  Unfortunately the church burnt out at the beginning of the 20th century and was rebuilt in 1959.  You can also find the secession vicarage,  the wall with 3 gates and 14 stops of the way of the Cross there. In the southeast periphery of Arnoltice  in the middle of the village´ houses there is a former Dutch wind mill. The mill is built from the quarry sandstone. In the village you can also find many timbered houses and farmhouses that are mainly used for tourism as well as the wind mill.  The chalet area with the swimming pool is also the part of the village.
