You can find this picturesque village on the uphill about the valley of Kamenice river, about 3 kms from the frontier village Hřensko. In the centre of the village you can visit a late baroque chapel. In the fields south-west of the village you can find a former wind mill built from sandstone blocks in 1844. Nowadays it is used only for holidays. On the east side there is the 18-hole golf course situated in the beautiful scenery surrounded by woods. You will surely rest while playing golf in such a peaceful place.
Many buildings of the folk architecture create very pleasant atmosphere of the village. Janov is known for its tidy and affordable pensions. In the pension U Zeleného stromu there is a dancing floor where the dances take place regularly.
