Labská Stráň

7 kms north of Děčín you can find the village Labská stráň, situated on the plateau of the Elbe river in the altitude 300 ms. The interesting places to visit is the cascade view terrace and the restaurant Belveder where you can have a wonderful view of the Elbe river canyon. The terrace was built in the beginning of the 18th century by  František Karel Clary Aldringen and was used for the local nobility´s entertainment. Later the restaurant was also built so the tourists could have refreshed themselves and the place became the centre of the folk festivals, parties and balls. These days you can still admire the Elbe canyon from the height of 200 ms. Walking along the rock tops you can go from Děčín to Hřensko and on your way had a view of this terrace and in summer you can rest in the outdoor restaurant.
